We make three packs.
We make them well.
Redwood Gear is a small studio in the Pacific Northwest. We prototype outside, argue over strap angles indoors, and ship only what we would loan to a friend heading above treeline.
Our story

It started with one overloaded pack and a sewing machine that smelled like burned coffee.
In 2014 we frankensteined samples from surplus yard goods and friends' cast-offs until the seams stopped screaming. The first Wolf predecessor made it through a wet Olympic winter; we revised the hip belt five times before we called it done.
Today it is still a dozen people, a narrow rack of prototypes, and a rule that no pack ships until the whole team has carried it loaded for at least one ugly weather weekend.

Repair over replace
Every pack we've shipped can come back to the bench. No warranty card required. We stock parts and patch what we can, or explain honestly why we can't.

One price, year-round
No flash sales, no rotating "doorbuster" nonsense. If our margin is wrong we set it wrong — that's on us to fix, not our customers.

We didn't end up here by accident. The Pacific Northwest runs a full spectrum of what gear needs to handle — wet granite, exposed ridgelines, the kind of mud that pulls boots off boots. If a pack can't earn its place here, it doesn't ship.
